What is included in the campervan rental price?

Every MadeiraCampers rental includes a fully equipped campervan with bedding, kitchen utensils, a gas cooker, refrigerator, fresh water tank, a portable toilet, awning, and solar panels for off-grid power. We also provide a detailed Madeira travel guide with our recommended stops, levada trailheads, wild swimming spots, and best viewpoints.

Do you deliver the campervan to Madeira Airport?

Yes — airport delivery is our signature service. We bring the campervan directly to Funchal Airport (FNC) and meet you there personally. No taxi, no waiting — your adventure starts the moment you land. Collection at the end of your trip also takes place at the airport.

What is the minimum rental period?

Our minimum rental period is 3 nights. We offer rentals of up to 30 days, making MadeiraCampers ideal for both short escapes and long Madeira road trips.

How much does campervan rental in Madeira cost?

Do I need a special licence to drive a campervan in Madeira?

No special licence is required. A standard category B driving licence (the same used for regular cars) is sufficient to drive all vehicles in our fleet. We require that drivers have held their licence for at least 2 years.

Booking and Payments

How do I book a campervan?

The easiest way to book is via WhatsApp — just send us your travel dates and we will confirm availability and send a booking link. You can also use our contact form. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance during peak season (June–September).

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers and major credit and debit cards. A deposit is required to confirm your reservation, with the balance due before the start of your rental.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the rental start date receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable. Please review our full Rental Terms for details.

Can I extend my rental period once I am already in Madeira?

Subject to availability, yes. Contact us via WhatsApp as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your extension.

Driving and Camping in Madeira

Is it legal to camp in a campervan in Madeira?

Overnight camping in campervans is permitted only at designated campsites in Madeira. Wild camping in natural parks, beaches, or residential areas is not permitted. We provide a list of all authorised campsites together with your rental documents.

Are the roads in Madeira suitable for campervans?

Most main roads in Madeira are well-paved and accessible by campervan. Our campervans are sized to navigate Madeira’s roads comfortably, and we brief every customer on recommended routes before departure.

Is there a GPS or navigation system in the campervan?

Yes, all our campervans are equipped with a navigation system. We also recommend downloading offline maps via Google Maps or Maps.me, as mobile signal can be limited in some mountain areas.

What happens if the campervan breaks down?

All rentals include 24/7 WhatsApp support from Natalia and Oleg. In the unlikely event of a breakdown, we coordinate roadside assistance and, if necessary, arrange a replacement vehicle.

Pets, Age Requirements, and Practical Details

Are pets allowed in the campervan?

We consider pet requests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us before booking to discuss. An additional cleaning fee may apply.

What is the minimum age to rent a campervan?

The primary driver must be at least 23 years old and have held a valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.

Do you offer camping equipment rental separately?

Yes — we offer a camping gear rental service including tents, sleeping bags, hiking gear, and SUP boards. Equipment can be rented independently or added to your campervan booking.

Can I pick up the campervan from a location other than the airport?

Airport delivery and collection is our standard service. If you require delivery to an alternative location in Madeira, please contact us and we will advise on availability and any applicable transfer fee.
