We are Natalia and Oleg — the team behind MadeiraCampers, your campervan rental Madeira specialists, and a Ukrainian couple who fell in love with Madeira Island
Back in Ukraine, we always dreamed of buying a campervan and travelling the world. When we moved to Madeira, we quickly realised: this island is the perfect place for campervan adventures. The mountains, the coast, the winding roads — there is no better way to explore Madeira than from the window of your own home on wheels.
So we got to work.
Oleg spent 8 months converting our first van from scratch — transforming a simple minibus into Geko, a fully equipped campervan built for adventure. While Oleg handled the construction and technical build, Natalia took care of all the paperwork, licensing and business setup. Every bolt, every piece of insulation, every electrical connection — built with care and attention to detail.
Our second campervan, Casa da Avo (Granny’s House), followed shortly after — another full conversion by Oleg, with the same love and craftsmanship.
In February 2025, we launched MadeiraCampers officially. Geko hit the road first, followed by Casa da Avo.
Today, our office and family shop for tourists is based in Funchal. But on your rental day, we come to you — we meet every guest personally at Madeira Airport and return them there at the end of their trip. No queues, no paperwork stress, just a warm welcome and a fully prepared campervan waiting for your adventure.
We know every road on this island. We know the best spots to park for sunset, the hidden beaches, the mountain viewpoints that don’t appear on tourist maps.
